Welcome to ClayCave Coworking, a creative ceramics community operated by Fictile Lab S.L.
These Terms & Conditions explain how our memberships, bookings, workshops, and studio use work.
By signing up for a membership, booking a service, or using the studio, you agree to these terms.

2. Studio Access & Security
- The studio is equipped with cameras for security and activity monitoring only. Cameras record video without audio and are not used for private surveillance.
- Access is managed through NUKI Smart Lock, allowing digital control of entry for members.
- Access permissions may be granted, revoked, or scheduled at any time for safety and management.
- Members must not share access credentials with others. Misuse may result in suspension or termination of access.
3. Studio Use, Cleaning & Conduct
- Members must clean their station and tools after each session, including wheels, tables, and surrounding areas.
- Cleaning supplies are provided.
- If you prefer not to clean, you can book a Cleaning Service add-on (€10) when available.
- Repeated failure to clean may result in a €10 cleaning fee or temporary suspension after three reminders.
- Return communal tools to their designated areas and store personal items on your assigned shelf only.
- Tools, materials, or equipment may not be removed from the studio.
- Handle all items carefully; members are responsible for damage caused by misuse, not normal wear and tear.
- ClayCave reserves the right to revoke access for unsafe or disrespectful behavior.
4. Tools & Materials
- Safe communal tools are provided for general use.
- Advanced tools that require additional care may be purchased when booking a wheel or hand-building session.
- By purchasing these tools, members acknowledge responsibility for safe and proper use.
- Members who own their own tools are not required to purchase the studio set.
- Clay and materials can be ordered directly through the studio and delivered to your shelf within 24–48 hours.
- All clay sales are final and non-refundable.
5. Memberships & Bookings
Membership Options:
- Pre-Opening Membership (Launch Offer) – Available until Oct 24, 2025, at €119/month, includes a free apron.
- Opening Membership (Introductory Offer) – Available from Oct 25, 2025, at €119/month through Dec 2025.
- Regular Membership – €139/month, effective from Jan 2026.
Payments & Renewals:
- Memberships are billed on a monthly recurring basis via Stripe until canceled.
- Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before renewal to avoid automatic charges.
- Once a member has used the studio within a billing cycle, no refunds can be issued.
- Canceled members may continue using the studio until the end of their current subscription.
Booking Policy:
- All members must book sessions in advance (wheel, glazing, hand-building, etc.).
- Only one active booking per service at a time is allowed, but members can immediately book again once the session is complete.
- If unable to attend, please cancel promptly so another member may book the slot.
- After three no-shows, ClayCave may issue a warning or temporarily limit booking privileges.
- Multiple services can be combined in one session (e.g., wheel + glazing).
- Please include setup and cleaning time in your booking.
Use of the SimplyBook.me Platform
- Our booking services are managed through SimplyBook.me, an external online platform that processes certain personal data (such as your name, contact details, and booking information) on our behalf.
- By creating an account or booking through SimplyBook.me, you also agree to the platform’s own Terms & Conditions, which govern the use of their system and data processing.

6. Kiln Services
Scheduling & Delivery:
- The date and time selected for a kiln service is your scheduled firing slot.
- Members: Deliver labeled pieces to your assigned kiln shelf at least 12 hours before firing. Finished work will be returned to your shelf within 48 hours.
- Non-members: Deliver pieces 24 hours before firing and collect them 5 days later.
Required Information:
- All kiln users must complete a Kiln Booking Form with:
- Clay type
- Glaze code(s) or recipe used
- Confirmation of compliance with safety procedures
- Clay type
- All pieces must be clearly labeled and placed on your assigned kiln shelf.
Glaze Safety:
- Experimental glazes require a full list of materials (e.g., cobalt, copper, etc.) and must include borders or catch plates to prevent runoff.
- ClayCave may refuse unsafe or unapproved glaze combinations.
Cleaning & Damage Fees:
- If glaze melts onto kiln plates or shelves, a €40 cleaning and resurfacing fee will be charged.
- ClayCave is not responsible for cracks, variations, or damage caused by material incompatibility or improper application.
Firing Temperatures:
- Bisque firing: up to 950 °C
- Regular firing: up to Cone 06 / ≈ 1245 °C
- High-temperature upgrade: up to Cone 10 / ≈ 1280 °C (add-on)
Do not handle or move others’ pieces on kiln shelves.
7. Workshops, Private Events & Courses
- Workshops and private events are held at designated times and may require separate registration.
- Participants must follow instructor guidance at all times.
- ClayCave is not liable for accidents or injuries occurring during workshops, except in cases of proven negligence.
- Workshop fees are non-refundable once the course has started, except in case of cancellation by the studio.
- All course materials, handouts, and recordings remain the intellectual property of Fictile Lab S.L.
8. Add-Ons & Additional Services
- Extra Hour / Extra 2 Hours: Extend your session, subject to availability.
- Extra Shelf Space: Monthly fee for additional storage, available to active members.
- High-Temperature Upgrade: Optional firing add-on for compatible clays/glazes.
- Clay Delivery: Delivered to your shelf within 24–48 hours.
All add-ons are optional and non-refundable once used.
9. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- Refunds are not available once a member has accessed the studio for that billing period.
- ClayCave may issue refunds only in cases of duplicate payment or system error.
- If an event or firing session is canceled by the studio, affected bookings will be rescheduled or refunded.
10. Community Standards & Safe Space Policy
- ClayCave is an inclusive and respectful community.
- Discrimination, harassment, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
- Respect others’ workspace, time, and privacy.
- ClayCave reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for repeated misconduct without refund.
11. Liability & Insurance
- Members and participants use the facilities at their own risk and must follow all safety guidelines.
- ClayCave is not responsible for personal injuries, loss, or damage to belongings.
- Members are liable for damages caused by negligence or misuse.
- Personal accident or health insurance is recommended for regular users.
12. Intellectual Property & Media Consent
- All text, photographs, designs, and materials created by ClayCave or Fictile Lab S.L. are protected under Spanish Intellectual Property Law (Ley de Propiedad Intelectual).
- You may not reproduce or distribute any studio content, handouts, or course materials without written permission.
- ClayCave occasionally takes photos or videos during community events, workshops, and open studio days for promotional purposes.
- We will never use identifiable images of members without their written consent.
- Members may request not to appear in any shared images by informing the studio in writing at [email protected].
13. Force Majeure
ClayCave shall not be held responsible for delays, interruptions, or closures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, equipment failure, strikes, or government restrictions.
In such cases, memberships and bookings will be extended or rescheduled where possible.
14. Communication & Notifications
Members agree to receive relevant updates, booking confirmations, and notices via email or the booking system.
Official announcements will be considered received once sent to the registered member email.
15. Price Adjustments
ClayCave reserves the right to adjust membership rates or service fees.
Members will be notified at least 15 days in advance of any price changes.
16. Privacy & Data Protection
Fictile Lab S.L. complies with GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) and Spanish data protection law.
Personal data is used solely for membership management, billing, and communication.
Data is securely stored and shared only with necessary service providers (e.g., Stripe, SimplyBook).
Members may exercise their rights to access, modify, or delete personal data by contacting [email protected].
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Valencia, Spain.
18. Community Commitment
We believe in a kind, creative, and collaborative studio culture.
Please care for the space as if it were your own — because it is, in a way.
Together, we make ClayCave a welcoming place to create, learn, and connect through clay.
Member Consent Summary
By confirming a booking or membership, you acknowledge that:
- The studio uses cameras and digital access for security.
- You are responsible for cleaning your space and using tools safely.
- Memberships renew monthly until canceled.
- No refunds are issued once the studio has been used for that billing period.
- Kiln users must provide glaze and clay details and follow firing procedures.
- A €40 fee applies for glaze damage to kiln plates or shelves.
